Tokyo, Japan – May 10, 2021 – Particles Plus Limited of Tokyo is supporting the efforts of the Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) by providing instrumentation for Professor Furuuchi Masami, who is leading the Faculty of Geosciences and Civil Engineering at the Institute of Science and Engineering, Kanazawa University.
SATREPS is a science and technology initiative in diplomacy that promotes international joint research between Japan and developing countries using advanced science and technology. The program is implemented in collaboration among JICA, “Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)” and “Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED).”
SATREPS aims at acquiring new knowledge, which may help address global issues, such as the environment/energy issue, bioresources, disaster prevention and mitigation, and infectious diseases control. This program highlights the future use of the acquired knowledge in society, and the capacity building of researchers and research institutes in developing countries based on social needs in developing countries.
The SATREPS project that Professor Furuuchi is conducting for the SATREPS initiative is related to environmental impacts, specifically The Project for Establishment of Risk Management Platform for Air Pollution, in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Particles Plus will proudly support this project with indoor and outdoor ambient air monitors to allow the team to collect necessary data to help bring improvements from the results of their findings.
