Boston, MA – September 14, 2021 – Particles Plus has had an important role in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic through the use of its instruments in cleanrooms, laboratories, and medical facilities worldwide. But on a more immediate basis, the company has worked hard to ensure the safety of its employees and its customers through the use of mandated health and safety procedures applied to the manufacturing and shipping of its entire product line.
All employees are required to wear a mask, use nitrile gloves, use sanitizing gel regularly, and clean all tools, instruments, equipment and work surfaces regularly with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Employees are adequately distanced in all office, shipping, and manufacturing spaces with the liberal use of clear plexiglas panels to lessen aerosolized transmission. Employees are also required to use separate stairways for up and down passage between floors. All employees are vaccinated.
To ensure the safety of its customers, before any unit is shipped, there is a strict protocol with printed instructions for employees to follow for disinfecting each unit before it leaves the building. The Particles Plus® 2000 series, 5000 series, 7000 series, 8000 series, Environmental Monitors, and OEM instruments all have exact instructions for thoroughly disinfecting each unit with the use of Kimtech wipes and 91% isopropyl alcohol immediately prior to packaging and shipping.
Particles Plus is working hard to stop the spread of Covid-19 directly, in addition to its support of the many institutions, think-tanks, laboratories, and government agencies who are involved in aerosol dispersion testing and research, and the use of its instruments in efforts such as the government funded research conducted by MITRE Corp on school and transit buses provided by the City of Colorado Springs Transit and the Colorado Springs School District.
