Sharon, MA – January 20, 2026 – Particles Plus, Inc., a leader in air particulate monitoring solutions, provided an educational demonstration for environmental science students at Sharon High School in Sharon, Massachusetts. The hands-on session featured handheld particle counters and emphasized the importance of understanding air quality and its impact on public health and the environment.
The session allowed students to observe air quality monitoring in action while learning the science behind particulate matter detection. The Particles Plus Team demonstrated how these tools analyze air pollution, showcased advancements in regulations that have improved U.S. air quality, and introduced students to environmental research supported by Particles Plus® Optical Particle Counters (OPCs).
“It’s important to invest in educating future generations on something that’s so easily taken for granted,” said Ryan Wilmot, Product Marketing Manager at Particles Plus, Inc. “This was a lot of fun for everyone, and we’re hoping to get other schools involved. We believe that outreach like this is vital for introducing students to technologies that make environmental monitoring possible. As a bonus, it also introduces students to local industries and potential jobs here in Massachusetts.”
Empowering students with knowledge and hands-on experiences encourages them to consider careers in science, technology, and environmental fields. By connecting real-world technology with classroom learning, Particles Plus seeks to foster greater awareness about the importance of clean air.
