Particles Plus News & Education

Stoughton, MA – February 14, 2018– Particles Plus has launched a new 0.3 µm remote particle counter that is the world’s smallest for a 1 CFM flow rate. The extremely small dimensions for this new 1 CFM remote particle counter allows it to fit in to most OEM applications, including pharmaceutical processing equipment.

The 2000 series remote sensors boast the most compact design available, with external dimensions of 1.8” x 3.7“ x 1.5” (4.5 cm x 9.3 cm x 3.8 cm). The new model 2310 provides two particle size channels of 0.3 µm and 0.5 µm for critical areas requiring the best detection at those lower particle size range. The mode 2310-4 offers four size channels, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0 and 5.0 µm at the 1 CFM flow rate.

“Most 0.3 µm remote counters with a 1 CFM flow rate tend to be much larger, making installation in tight spaces difficult. The 2310 and 2310-4 overcome this size drawback with a sophisticated design and smaller dimensions. It is ideal for all standard remote particle counter installations, but it really shines in those special applications for installation inside an enclosure, or within an enclosed piece of processing equipment with tight tolerances,” stated Adam Giandomenico, the company’s CEO.

Particles Plus 2000 series remotes offer a variety of particle channel sizes in 2 or 4 channel configurations, all in the same compact design. They also meet the calibration requirements of ISO 21501-4, providing reliably accurate NIST traceable measurements. The 2000 series detectors utilize MODBUS ASCII or RTU communications over RS-232 or RS485 connectivity and carry the same 2 year warranty.
