Particles Plus News & Education

Orlando, FL – AHR 2016 – January 25th, 2016 – Particles Plus revealed their new PID and NDIR environmental sensors, enhancing performance for their line of Air Quality Monitors. While previous versions performed to specification, the new sensors bring their environmental monitoring to a new level of accuracy and repeatability.

The enhanced sensor for CO2 employs a sophisticated non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detector that, coupled with free enhanced field calibration software, provides tighter accuracies and field adjustable offsets, creating an extremely useful IAQ field monitor. The NDIR Sensor boasts a range of 0 – 5000 ppm with a 1 ppm Resolution and ±1% accuracy.

The superior design of their new miniature photo-ionization detector (PID) also allows for amazing performance over a range of 0 – 20 PPM, with a resolution of 1 part per billion  and an accuracy of ±1.5%.  The stability and performance is ideal for measuring harmful volatile organic compounds (TVOCs).

The new sensor upgrades that were created for the Particles Plus Air Quality Monitor Series of products compliments the performance of the company’s existing high concentration airborne particle matter and particle counting technology.

“Field application testing and customer feedback helped to guide the upgrades for these air quality monitors,” states David Pariseau, the company’s Chief Technical Officer. “The ability for user field-calibrations supporting the new high performance PID and NDIR sensors make this already competitively priced product a necessary tool for occupational health and industrial hygiene studies, indoor air quality investigations, contamination exposure monitoring, and manufacturing process control.”
