New Delhi, India – February 24th, 2023 – Particles Plus attended the Asian Conference on Indoor Environmental Quality (ACIEQ) 2023, presenting the company’s indoor environmental solutions and educating the attendees on the importance of indoor environments for occupants.
New Delhi was the perfect location to talk about indoor air and environmental quality, as the majority of spaces there are experiencing poor air quality. The Particles Plus instruments measured very high concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10. On average, concentrations during the conference were at around 61μg/m3 and 130μg/m3, respectively.
Outdoors, the concentrations of particle pollution were even higher and the ambient air was the number one contributor to poor indoor air quality. Most importantly, our instruments revealed the more serious danger of air pollution, registering a higher number of the smaller particle sizes. PM values hide the true number of the smaller particle sizes such as 0.3 microns and 0.5 microns.
Specifically, the Particles Plus instruments registered 403,883,648 particles per cubic meter at 0.3 microns, and 37,760,552 particles at 0.5 microns. These particles reach the alveolar sacs, where they create local inflammation and enter the bloodstream, reaching every other human organ.
The Asian Conference on Indoor Environmental Quality recognized the company’s work in the space of indoor air quality with an award during the ending ceremony, and our team was very grateful to have met so many qualified people during the time spent at the conference.
The Particles Plus Handheld 8306 was used for the measurement of indoor and outdoor air quality. For more information on Particles Plus, Inc. or Particles Plus instruments, contact us.
